Opened Quicken and everything is wrong [edited]

just opened my quicken and everything is [profanity removed]. I cant open a backup file and its as if im a new member . NOT !!!! 25 plus years and now I cant get in????

What version .... Help --> About Quicken
is it prompting you for a "file password" - and you didn't create one for this Quicken QDF file ?

Thank you for a quick reply. Sometimes I hate this program. Finally able to open a day old BUp. It opened up today to a screen I’ve never seen before. Had none of my settings or display. No reason for it. I hadn’t been in the windows program “desktop “ since yesterday. Windows with annual Quicken sub.
I have been able to recover my settings and accounts.
