Canadian stock quotes being included as C$ in USD account - Why no conversion?

I have a Canadian stock (TSE:GRID) that is included in a USD account. This sock is regularly updated, but in C$ not USD. In the details for the security the "Currency" dropdown states USD and is grayed out. It cannot be changed to C$.

How difficult would it be to fix this so the correct quote comes across in C$ and is converted to USD before posting in the portfolio?

I've seen the recommendation to create a separate account for that stock, but that is not elegant, correct or possible in a US Windows Q portfolio.
