FAQ: Managing Notifications from the Quicken Community
Notifications let you know when a new post has been added in a category you are following, if someone responded to your post, mentioned you in a different post, and much more!
There are several options for managing notifications in the community, ensuring you receive as many or as little notifications as you wish.
New in the community! User designated preferences for following categories, receiving notifications for new posts and/or comments, just new posts, or none.
To follow a category, click the bell icon in the upper right of the category and choose to follow and/or receive notifications for that category.
- Follow: This option will allow you to follow the category without receiving email notifications and filter your Recent Discussions list.
- Discussions: This option will allow you to follow the category and receive notifications when new discussions are added.
- Discussions and Comments: This option will allow you to follow the category and receive notifications when new discussions and comments are posted.
- Unfollow: This option will appear once you choose to follow and subscribe to notifications, and will allow you to unfollow and disable notifications.
Once you’ve decided which categories you’d like to follow, visit your notification preferences in your community profile to decide how you’d like to receive notifications and for what.
To find the notification preferences, click the Profile avatar image at the top right and select Edit Profile
Check the boxes for whether you’d prefer email or pop-up notices in the community. If you do not wish to receive any notifications, leave the boxes unchecked.
