most recent update removes custom dashboard

I guess the updated dashboard is good but it would have been good to be prompted that it was going to replace everything I already had customized and setup. All I got is the prompt requiring an update before quicken would start and lost my prior setup

If you are using the Starter edition there is a bug that for that edition which removed the old Dashboard/Home tab views. You were suppose to have both at this point. There is a patch coming out, it is in staged release mode right now where a limited amount of people get it, R35.31, that is suppose to fix this.

I have the Deluxe version and there seems to be no way to customize the dashboard other than picking some date ranges for the charts you think we should have. Nothing in the help.0

If you search for Dashboard there are some other "feedback" threads you might want to look at/post your suggestions on.Signature:

The new Home page with the new Dashboard view has a new gear icon in the upper right hand corner.
Click it to switch views and/or add or customize Home tab view pages. All old Home tab view pages should still exist as they were in older versions, except for Starter Edition users.
Check which of the Home tab views to use when Quicken starts: Go to Edit / Preferences / Startup and select the Startup location.
