Hi @Jimmymc ,
Are you using Scheduled Updates? Is any process, like De-fragmenting or Backup programs running? See this FAQ: https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7307115/add-your-quicken-information-to-your-posts-plus-how-you-are-connected-to-the-internet

Another question:
Are you using Trend Micro or any other antivirus program?
If so, temporarily disable your antivirus program for the duration of the installation process.

I assume I am using scheduled updates. It pops up on the screen when I log on from time to time. I have never had a problem until a month or so ago when it would not update and I got the above error message. I do have Trend Micro but I have never had to disable it before. It seems to be a very long multi-step process to disable. I don't want to do that every time. I am hoping for a different solution.0
