How do I get rid of old stuff?

I have used an older version for years. Just purchased a new iMac and had to update Quicken. A new world completely. I have multiple accounts that are not 0, and need to delete but can't because they have balances. How can I make the adjustments needed to zero the accounts so I can delete.

You can enter an adjustment and make the category a transfer back to the same account you are in.  It's a special one sided transaction.   At least you can for Windows, don't know about Mac.
