Split transactions are being reordered after being saved.
The saved transactions are locked.
IS there a way to reorder memorized split transactions?

Hello @rll956,
Thank you for reaching out to Quicken Community. We apologize you are having this difficulty. To better be of assistance, please provide more details and examples. For instance, how are they being reordered (Is it by alphabetical order, previously used...)?
Please elaborate so that we may move forward with diagnosing/troubleshooting this issue as needed.

I have manually ordered the items to better match the order in my paycheck, then memorized the transaction..
See the attachments for an indication of hte issue.
Thank you0 -
This has never been a problem until the last several months.
I got hit a few months ago and "fix" the problem by reentering the categories.
Now the "fixed" memorized transaction has suddenly become reordered.0 -
Hello @rll1956,
Thank you for providing that information!
Unfortunately, we were unable to recreate this issue on our end, so that may mean that this issue is specific to your software or data file. There are some steps we can take to further test this out! We can try copying your file and then seeing if you still see the same behavior.
To do this;
1. Got to File.
2. Select Copy or Backup File...
3. Choose the second option for Create a copy or template and click Next.
4. Click Save Copy.
5. When it asks which file you would like to open select New Copy and hit Ok.
6. Now that you are in the new copy file, check the splits.
7. If they are still "reordered" fix one and see if it stays this time.
Do let us know how this goes.

Why all the blank lines in your desired order? Are there uncategorized dollars or fully blank for legibility?
Have you tried it without the blank lines?
Have you tried a wholly new form rather than an edited form?2 -
re: q_lurker
The blank lines originally were categorizes I removed.
The blank lines also increase legibility
The editor does not prevent leaving blank lines
Yes I have recreated the split list from scratch.0 -
Hello @rll1956,
If you have not yet done so, please follow the suggestions in my previous post.
Let us know when this is done. If you have any questions or concerns we are more than happy to help.
