Investment Purchase Will Not Post

Question

Posting buy of 200 shares @ $55.985, plus $127.37 commission. Quicken returns message "The resulting value is too big.  Please enter it as more than one transaction".
 Tried splitting into two transaction....get same error message.

Has anyone else encountered this?

First, I would close Quicken, restart Quicken, and try again.
Second, I would try variations - different security, different share count, no commission.  Do some work and some not?  Try to identify more specifically the details of the problem.
Third, I would validate the file, and then try again.

I might vary the order, but those would be my starting directions.
