Thank you for coming to the Community with your question!
Please go to Edit>Preferences>Setup. (pictured below) And make sure you have Quicken sounds checked off.

Yes, my sound is turned "On." I get cha-ching when posting to my checking accounts and Other Income from the Rental Property tab. It is only absent when posting rents. Thanks for the quick response.

Home, Business & Rental Property, Version R36.48, Build 27.1.36.48, Windows 10 Enterprise. It's actually a problem I've had for some time.
