How to enter TIPS purchased through Treasury Direct
AlexQQQQ
I just bought my first TIPS via Treasury Direct. I am confused about what to put where in the Bonds Bought screen to accurately record the transaction. Searches on TIPS tend to turn up handy hints rather than Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities.

Anyone? I can't be the first person to buy a TIPS. Specifically, I think I have figured out where to put 1) the purchase price; 2) price per $100; and 3) accrued interest. However, where do I put the accrued inflation compensation? Right now that amount is left as the cash balance in Quicken Treasury Direct account.

Also, how do I get Quicken to display the TIPS value ($10K), which is less than the price paid?
