How to enter a missing paycheck retroactively

Somehow, a previously reconciled transaction was deleted and I now need to add it back. However, this transaction was a paycheck (from Dec 30 2015) entered using the paycheck/bills&deposit reminder feature.
Quicken doesn't allow me to backdate the date on the next due instance of the paycheck.
So I tried copying the Dec 15 paycheck, and pasting it as a new transaction in the registers, where I then adjusted the split accordingly. However, doing this deletes the Dec 15 paycheck
Any advice?

I was able to figure it out. I created a new one time paycheck on which I was able to enter a date in the past1
