Validate my Quicken WTF.QDF data file
- Unable to close data files
- Quicken cannot open the data file because it is use by another application...
-
The log file has this...
[Sat Jan 08 14:25:18 2022]
File: "C:\Users\billf\Documents\Quicken\WFee"
QDF:
QEL: QEL could not be copied, so it wasn't validated.
Validation has completed.
*** Any help would be appreciated! :)

IF you're using Dropbox/etc to backup your Q data file ... DON'T. For exactly the reason that you've just discovered.Set Dropbox/etc to take the backup file that's created by Q instead. This file will be held by Q, and not available to Dropbox, until Q's backup is completed and then Dropbox can begin.

Is there a program or app that can tell me who has a lock on the file?
Also, I' not using Drop Box. I'm using Windows File History for backup.0 -
I would venture to say this is what is the issue.
Quicken updates when you hit Enter.1 -
