Install 2015 version cannot register

I used to have the Quicken H&B Canada 2015 version. Last year I upgraded to the latest version. I stopped renewing last week and and now have the annoying upgrade banners, which make the program very difficult to use as the banners take up so much screen space.
I have decided to go back to my 2015 version.
After installing 2015, I get to the registration screen, I put in my Intuit user id and password and I get this message.
Please check internet connection and retry. [Error : SSL_VERSION_OR_CIPHER_MISMATCH]
Any idea what this means and how to fix it.
Thanks,
Terry

    An update.
When I start Quicken 2015 now, I don't get to enter my user id and password, I just get the error message.
I noticed it creates a file on my desktop named debug.log
    Here are the contents

You need to download/install the Quicken 2015 R6 Mondo patch that changes from an Intuit ID to a Quicken ID.

You do realize you won't be able to open your current Quicken Subscription file in Quicken 2015.

Yes, i will export the data as a qif file, import into 2015 version and fix any issues.

Too bad you don't have Quicken 2016 or 2017, they can read a Quicken Subscription data file directly.
