Quicken Reports spending by category - lots of un-categorized

In listing 'last years' spending categories for tax work.... i'm getting a great many 'un categorized' transactions flagged. When i go to the accts w/the transactions.....they all have categories assigned to them. I've even re entered the categories on several....and that does not resolve the issues. Any ideas on how to resolve??? thanks
