Quicken program stops working on backup

Subscription Quicken program stops working when trying to backup register file. Every month when trying to backup register file program stops working. I have to download new program. Why?

I have a Lexar backup that I want to backup every month. D: is not read. I can not make it read to the D: disk.0

Thank you for reaching out to the Quicken Community. We apologize you are having this issue. Could you please let us know what the error code or message is? Also for this particular instance, I would recommend backup your file up to the C: Drive and then copying it into the D : disk or any other place desired.
