How do I keep the mobile app from automatically downloading transactions?

How do I keep the mobile app from automatically downloading transactions? I did not have this problem until a couple of months ago. This has caused my balance to be totally off. The downloaded transactions have a blue dot beside them. I want to be able to manually sync them with my desktop app once I have balanced my checkbook. Thank you!
