on first startup quicken is hanging have to close quicken then restart the program to get it to run.

Have you tried starting Quicken by holding down the Control key, so a data file is not opened? If Quicken starts normally, try opening your data file. If it hangs, try validating your data file.

validating data file shows no errors after quicken hangs and i close it and restart it it will start fine the rest of the day

What is the full path to the folder that contains your Quicken data file on the hard drive? Are you using OneDrive, Dropbox or Google Backup?

D drive Quicken Backup
this has been the same path for quicken backup since i install quicken years ago
also if i restart the computer Quicken hangs then i close and restart Quicken and it works again
after restart and holding down the Control key Quicken still hangs on first start

seems to be a problem with quicken and windows defender turning Off windows defender, lets quicken start for me also i am running win 11
