How to permanently delete old check register (Banking) entries?

I have a check register going back to something like 2004. I would like to delete several years of entries without screwing up transactions in other registers in Investments, Property, and Debt.

There are two ways to split your active Quicken data into two parts: old data (archive file) and current data.
Please read this: https://www.quicken.com/support/when-use-year-end-copy-or-copy-file for more informationBut also please consider the fact that there is no way to correctly put the two files back together again, should you change your mind later or don't like the results.Be sure to have at least one good backup of your data file BEFORE you start working on splitting your file.
