Where is the help information using symbols in reports

There used to be a section in Help that explained using symbols like ~ when customizing reports (along with other symbols also), But I cannot find it. Anybody have an idea where to search for it?

I was able to find the list of symbols by clicking on the "?" Help button on the Categories customization tab. Then click Categories Tab in section 4, then click the Criteria link under Matching.
The Global search in Help was not useful.
