IRA Transfer between brokerages

I recently retired and am trying to show the transfer (all shares) of my recent work IRA (manually managed) to an existing brokerage IRA. When I put in the transfer - all shares, for a past date, the transfer disappears after entry and does not show in either account. Help please - thanks
