I suspect you may be looking at a scheduled transaction (aka a reminder) displayed in the register. If so, you may choose to exclude reminders from the register by pressing Ctrl + Alt + N and choosing Reminders to show in register > Don't show reminders0

That does nothing, no list of reminders. The check register enter is a scheduled transaction that I no longer use.
The transaction has a payment amount, which is throwing of the balance.0 -
I did select show no reminders. That work.0

If you have a Scheduled Reminder Transaction that you no longer use, just ignoring it or pushing it ahead to future dates doesn't really resolve the issue.
You should delete this Scheduled Reminder.
Go into Tools / Manage Bill and Income Reminders.
Locate the reminder and click to select it (highlight it).
Click on Delete in the Menu Bar at the top of the window.

If you haven't done so already, please try the following actions:
- Download and install the latest Mondo Patch file from https://www.quicken.com/support/update-and-mondo-patch-20182019-release-quicken-windows-subscription-product to ensure your Quicken software is up to date and correctly installed.
- Reboot Windows.
- Validate and Supervalidate your Quicken data file.
- If nothing helps, try to restore your Quicken data file from an Automatic or Manual backup taken just prior to the problems first occurring.
