File Conversion and Backup (Windows)
Unable to perform backup
osoblessed
As of 6/3/22, I am unable to backup my file, which I usually do daily. The error message says "Unable to open source file". When I initially tried to open my file, I received a message saying that it was no longer available, so I had to recover from the previous days backup. Since then, it will not perform a backup.

What is the full path to the folder that contains your Quicken data file on the hard drive? Are you using OneDrive, Dropbox or Google Backup?

I use Dropbox and haven't made any changes to the file name or location. I usually simply click on the default buttons for complete backup and it works.

You should not store your active Quicken data file in a Dropbox folder, it can cause corruption. When you exit Quicken and attempt to make a backup, Dropbox locks the file to update its copy. Move the data file to a local folder.

Ok, thanks.
