Cannot update my checking and savings account at Fifth Third Bank although my credit card through Fifth Third Bank does download. This has been a constant issue every time there is an update.

    Hello @NanaD,

I do apologize about this issue with updates. Thanks for discussing this with us here on the Quicken Community.

Before I can provide further recommendations, I do have some other questions about the situation. Does this problem occur exclusively after One Step Updates? Do you receive any error messages, or are transactions simply missing from your register? Also, do you know what connection method is being used to add or link your accounts to online banking services? You can check this by navigating to Tools > Account List in the upper menu at the top of the screen, then click on the Edit button in the row(s) associated with the affected account(s).  You can then navigate to the Online Services tab, and the required information should be available in the Online Setup callout box.

I do look forward to your response, and hope to work with you further on this issue, if necessary.

    Thank you,

    Quicken Jared

Same exact problem (and occurrences. . . it's always terrifying when Quicken does an update - wondering if 5/3 will quit updating again - then spending hours trying to figure out why.)

It happens if I use One Step Update or try to update each account individually.

It's not a matter of missing transactions, because it won't update at all.

I DOES give an error every time, but no error code. It gives the option to 'Update' . . . and that does nothing when you do it.

Online Services says: Automatic Entry is: On

Does this imply I should click "Change connection method" and select "Express Web Connect"? - What's the difference when doing this?

    Hello @alwayssomething,

I am sorry to hear that you are also being affected by this issue. Thank you for inquiring further about what is happening in this Quicken Community Discussion.

What connection method are you using currently? I was somewhat unclear on this. Be sure to save a backup before making changes of any kind by going to File > Copy or Backup File... in the upper menu at the top of the screen.

I hope to hear your response shortly, if you have the chance to check back in with us again.

    Thank you,

    Quicken Jared
