Cloud Sync still corrupting old Payroll splits, when is fix coming?

This is really starting to get on many of our nerves if it hasn't already. There should be no way to corrupt old payroll data, but this bug remains to this day. I now take backups of Quicken before every use, which is kind of crazy for a program we pay a subscription for. The last time it corrupted was upon *Adding* a new account which apparently forces an online sync, which I thought I had turned off everywhere.
Is there going to be a fix for this or is this designed behavior? It has been a bug in the software since a middle of March 2022 update.
