How do I get past the Intuit ID creation screen?
Vince in VA
I installed Quicken 2016 on my new machine from a disk I bought. I am using Windows 10 Pro on it. Installation went ok, but when I opened Quicken, it asked me to set up my Intuit ID and password. I entered the email and password and hit the next button. The spinning red motion appeared but after several seconds, I got an error message saying it failed to connect and may be a problem on their end. How do I get past this??

There is no more Intuit ID. There is only a Quicken ID because Intuit no longer owns Quicken.
You will need to patch your QW2016 to its latest release, R19.5. Find that here:

I think you need to update with the latest patch (19.5 Mondo) for 2016.
You can get it here -
