Release R41.19 needs to be deleted

This last update R41.19 set my computer back to when in october 2021 the program didn't work at all. Quicken support looked into it and said it was my computer, but I've been able to work it out after I fixed it without their help. This latest release set me back to the October version; everything since October 20 has disappeared with the release. I tried my backup from 7/7/22 and I guess it's now corrupted.
SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO GET RID OF THIS LATEST RELEASE so I can use the program. Thanks,

To revert to an earlier release, I suggest you perform a clean uninstall, install while disconnected from the internet, update by applying the appropriate patch, and restoring a data file saved prior to updating from the earlier patch release.  Normally, I would provide a link to the Quicken Support page on the clean uninstall however, Quicken Support decided to archive the page mistakenly thinking it was no longer needed.  Here's a link to the page as saved on Internet Archive: https://web.archive.org/web/20210510044051/https://www.quicken.com/support/using-qcleanui-uninstall-quicken  If you did not preserve an earlier installation program, you may download the US subscription version at: https://www.quicknperlwiz.com/install-for-quicken-2018---subscription.html  To update Quicken, I recommend you download and apply the appropriate patch from:https://www.quicken.com/support/reinstalling-and-patching-your-quicken-subscription-version-after-your-membership-has or http://www.quicknperlwiz.com/quickenpatches.html

To prevent Quicken from applying an update without your approval, I suggest you set Windows UAC settings appropriately (choose default or always notify).

You need to follow the directions by Sherlock to remove the current quicken version. Using windows app delete does not work - if you install after that, you will encounter an error. Second comment - if you download quicken today from the quicken website and reinstall the subscription version - it will install R41.19. You need to find an older install version. I initially had lots of issues with R41.19 crashing, but since I did a validate and clean reinstall, it seems to be working OK.

For whatever it's worth, R 42.8 is now available for downloading from Help / Check for Updates or download and install the Mondo Patch file from https://www.quicken.com/support/update-and-patch-20182019-release-quicken-windows-subscription-product

i'm downloading the old version on my quicken account online as we speak. I'm crossing my fingers that the messed up version doesn't reload.

So I had no idea where to look for an older version of Quicken other than before they became 'subscription'. So I can install an older version, but what is the right 'patch' to install that won't ruin my files, since that's what caused my current problem and also the one in Oct 2021?

You should be able to determine the release you were using before you had the current problem.  When Quicken updates itself, Quicken saves a Quicken file backup in the automatic backup folder with the original release imbedded in the name of the Quicken backup file.  The automatic backup folder is typically the BACKUP folder in the Quicken folder in the user's Documents folder.

Sherlock, when I tried instructions to clean uninstall I downloaded the 'MISClean.exe' and 'QcleanUI.exe' files to a desktop file, as instructed. When I clicked on the 'QcleanUI.exe' file I got an error message "MISClean32.exe' is required for Qclean to run properly. Please make sure that "MISClean32.exe' is in the same directory as this tool.

    Qclean will now exit.

I did download that MIDClear32.exe file, but with it a file called 'Unconfirmed 588194.crdownload' downloaded - looks like an empty file? Don't know what i'm doing wrong?

The MSICLEAN.exe link should download the MSIClean32.exe program required by QCleanUI.exe program.  I suggest you try again.

I suspect your anti antivirus or anti malware program may be at fault.
