Split transactions problem (Q Mac)

When entering an amount less than the total transaction, split transactions window no longer opens a new line. Also, when I manually opening a new split line, the new line no longer displays the remainder of the total amount.

Are you using current QMac Subscription version?

There are times (by design) that the transaction total will change instead of a new split line being added. When you see this happen, did you notice if the transaction total changed? That will happen if you have not actually typed in the transaction total field. One example of this is if you start by entering a Payee and the amount gets prefilled from a QuickFill transaction. Since you didn't actually type the transaction total, it will change to match whatever you put in the first prefill line. We may not like this behavior, but it is by design. 

If you are seeing this in other circumstances (that is, after you have typed in the transaction total field), then I cannot replicate. I'd suggest doing basic troubleshooting such as restarting the computer.
