Proper way to Quit Quicken Mac

Maybe I'm a newbie after all: I was told by a Quicken support gal that I must close the last Quicken window (red square top left of window) before I quit Quicken (Menu pull or command Q). That seems odd to me as I have been simply quitting Quicken without closing its windows for 20 years. Thoughts?

What you were told is incorrect. There is no need to close the main Quicken window before quitting.

Bonus: whatever windows you had open when you quit (eg. a report) will reopen when you relaunch Quicken. This includes windows hiding behind the main window. Be aware that some windows can use nontrivial system resources and you may not be aware this is happening if you have several windows hiding behind the main window.
