AMEX France - Unable to import transactions as currency does not match account

I have tried creating totally new accounts with Euro denomination and it doesn't help. Same booboo msg. I am using version USA version R42.8 on windows 11 home. I do not want to import a mess with QIF and would rather manually enter transactions to keep things clean. From reading the discussions, it seems it is a Quicken USA problem not a problem with AMEX France and their file format.

    Quicken is NOT an international product. It supports downloading or importing from US and some Canadian banks only, in US$ or C$. No other currencies are supported for import.

    I guess American Express France was misled by Quicken when it created an export of Euro transactions to QFX format. AMEX France should have stopped after they completed the export for Euro transactions to CSV format.
