Help, Quicken will not open one particular data file out of the many I have on my pc. I can open all the others. I have rebooted, but it still says it is in use somewhere else.

"In use by another application" usually means just that ...
Are you using MS One Drive, Dropbox or any other cloud backup software to backup your C: - drive's files in Documents, Pictures, Music, etc. folders?
If so, you need to configure this software to NOT backup the folder and its files containing your active Quicken .QDF data files. Typically this folder is \Documents\Quicken.
Configure Quicken to create backups every time you close a data file and reconfigure your backup software to grab the .QDF-backup files instead.

just curious - are these the regular Quicken QDF files -
or the Quicken QDF-BACKUP files ?
and if the normal QDF file - why 30 ?
