Editing categories

Question

I'm new to Q, brought accounts from another platform and would like to edit my categories (in effect, create a new chart of accounts). How do I do that?

Hi Frank - I was able to figure this out on my own...only wanted to edit the categories. I was able to do it in Settings. Thanks!

Hi @CBradshaw,

I am a little confused, so can you clarify one item?  You mentioned a "chart of accounts" which - in accounting language - is actually a list of all the accounts you have - like "ABC Checking account" or "Visa Credit Card", etc. .  The categories in Quicken are actually the "types" of transactions - such as various types of expenses or types of income.

Let us know and we'll go from there.
