Naming of Downloaded Transactions

Whenever I download a transaction that I have used a debit card to pay Quicken adds the the transaction number, date, ending card #@ to the Payee name. Example for Xfinity Internet it will Say: Xfinity Dbt Card 08222022 1003 98754. How can I get it to just say Xfinity in the Payee column?

Quicken isn't adding that stuff, your bank is helpfully sending it.You can use Renaming Rules to change the payee to what you prefer.

In this particular case, a monthly Scheduled Reminder transaction named "Xfinity", recorded BEFORE you download transactions from the checking account would probably give the best results. Because in that case, Quicken can match the downloaded transaction to the already existing register transaction, with no further action required. If you don't want to do that, a Renaming Rule for a payee = Xfinity, defined as "if payee contains xfinity" would work for future transactions, too. Be sure to have the settings about renaming rules enabled in Edit / Preferences / Downloaded Transactions.0
