Quick Deluxe freezes when I start one-step update for my Schwab accounts.

I overcame the earlier Schwab connection problems a couple months ago so this is new. Quicken has to be shut down by Task Manager and restarted.

  • Hello @ngerard,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and telling us about your issue, though I apologize that you are experiencing this.

Have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling Quicken? Please refer to the following support articles for instructions on uninstalling here and reinstalling here.

However, after you have uninstalled and before you proceed with reinstalling, please open your Windows File Explorer and navigate to This PC > C: Drive > Program Files (x86) and delete the folder titled "Quicken" (doing so does not affect your data files). After you have deleted this folder, go ahead and try reinstalling.

Let us know how it goes!

That sounded like a good idea, but I get the same results after reinstalling Quicken. The only difference is I get the "program not responding" message faster now.
  • Thank you for following up!

In that case, I advise reaching out to Quicken Support directly for further assistance and possible escalation if they see fit.

Keep in mind that our escalation team is closed on weekends, so we advise waiting until Tuesday as we are also closed on Monday due to Labor Day.

We apologize for any inconvenience! Thank you.
