Retail cards at Synchrony

Quicken Windows Subscription Member
I have a Quicken account for my JCPenney retail credit card. The card is issued by Synchrony. When I edit the Quicken account and go to the Online Services tab, I am informed that the current information is: Financial institution: Synchrony Banck Credit Cards, Connection Method: Web Connect, and I am offered an "improved connection method" with a link to click. The link goes to Synchrony Bank Credit Cards. My retail credentials (user name, password) are not accepted. I need to be directed to the Retail Card login, which would include a place to enter "JCPenney" as the merchant. So, I am not able to take advantage of the "improved connection method."
