Well, my turn came today to migrate to EWC+ for my BofA accounts. Things seemed to have gone fine for my checking, savings and credit card accounts. However, my Mortgage and HELOC could not be linked to existing Quicken accounts. The only two options I have were to Create a New Account or don't Download. Any suggestions here?

I don't know about the HELOC account but for sure for the Mortgage account you aren't going to be able to link to the old account.  The hide the account register for downloading of these loan accounts for a reason.  They have no way to fix/sync the data.  They just "believe" whatever the financial institution sends.  The only thing you can do with these kinds of accounts is disable them for downloading and they become manual entry accounts.

I did the migrate and now my HELOC account says "PAID OFF". I cannot see any transactions, nor can I mark it UNPAID. I restored the backup file I saved before the migration and I'm back to "normal" again. I will not migrate when prompted again and will wait to see what happens after Oct 11, 2022.

There seems to be a bug in the conversion that is treating downloaded HELOC accounts as if they were mortgage accounts where they remove the register and close the accounts since they can't switch over.

I suggest using Help -> Report a problem, and also contacting Quicken Support to see what they say about it.

Same problem HELOC marked as Paid Off. Is there any corrective action? I have tried Reset and Deactivate with no change.

Set it up as a new offline credit card or HELOC account. Once set up, try to activate it ... and let us know if it works. If it doesn't, maintain it as offline account forever.
