Could they pick a worse timing, email about converting Chase Investing?

I can’t believe it.  I just got an email saying that they are now going to do the conversion for the investing accounts, but not quite yet, but be sure to do it as soon as they announce it because the deadline is still the 26th!

There is no doubt in my mind that converting the investment accounts are going be worse than converting the banking/credit card accounts because the investment accounts have more complicated transactions.

And now we find that they are starting way late on that conversion, and still have the same deadline!

Frankly, for me personally it doesn’t matter since I’m going to drop Quicken, but man you have to wonder what these people are thinking!

P.S. There is only one thing that is going to make the investment account conversion “easier” than for the banking/credit cards.  Far fewer people have their investments with Chase.

As of now, Chase is now allowing the change over to Express Web Connect + for investment accounts.

Seems to have gone pretty well, no duplicate accounts, no duplicate transactions, the correct number of shares in securities, and the right amount of cash.  Note I did this in a test file that I had just setup for Direct Connect yesterdays and so it had placeholders in and such so I didn't really have the full history to check against.

Well, Chase just now disabled Direct Connect for the non investment accounts, but investment accounts are still downloading with Direct Connect.

It will be interesting to see how much longer the investment accounts can download with Direct Connect.
