Changing Bank of America System Duplicated Entries

:( I got a message while using Quicken to change the way my Bank of America files are updated. I followed the directions. Now I've gotten duplicate entries all over my bank account listings and credit card listings. How do I get my files back in order?

That happens when you change connection methods. You'll have to delete the duplicate transactions, they should only go back a few months.

Please tell me there's be a better way than telling the user to manually correct duplicates caused by this new connection method. Having to go back "even a few months" would mean hundreds, and possibly thousands, of transactions.

Allow me to suggest that BofA and Quicken should get this working better before they displace an onerous responsibility to their clients.

I don't know of any other solution than to manually delete the duplicates. If you've been reconciling your accounts each month, it should be easy to tell the original transactions (green checks) from the duplicates (blue checks). If you haven't been reconciling, then yeah, you've got some work ahead of you.
