Citibank Citi Cards CC-502 - solution found

I recently started getting the dreaded cc-502 error when trying to update my citibank transactions. Quicken support seems to be aware there are issues but don't seem to be actively solving it based on how long they've had this "known isssue" open: https://community.quicken.com/discussion/7911445/new-4-5-22-citibank-citi-cards-cc-502-102
This may not work for everyone but here's the steps that solved it for me:
- Log in to your Citibank account in a web browser
- Click on your profile, then "more settings"
- Click on the link to "manage desktop apps" and follow the prompts to add access
- Go back to Quicken and try refreshing the account (this might be the end for you, but not for me)
- In Quicken, rt-click the account, click "Edit/Delete Account", then go to the Online Services tab
- Click Reset Account, then follow the prompts. Pay special attention that the password is current. (Warning - Canceling at this step will delete any saved credentials).

My account refreshes normally now. I hope this is useful to others.
