Balance incorrect after balancing from the beginning of accont

I've tried suggestions I've read on this forum to solve my Quicken problems. I turned off "sync to Quicken Cloud"; took out all misfiled ?? items Quicken downloaded into the wrong files (except one). Today, after opening account and syncing my accounts, my checking account has double-digit too much money in the balance from 2013! I don't know what to do.
