How to safely delete mobil app for Mac

My mobile app for Mac doesn't match my desktop account balances. I have tried re-syncing and am still way off. Is there a way I can delete the mobile app without messing up the account balances on my desktop? I don't want to take the chance of messing everything up and mainly use my desktop program. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

    I would first turn off Mobile Sync in Quicken preferences on the desktop, then delete the app from your phone. By turning off sync first, that should prevent any feedback from deleting the mobile app.

    Thank you! I will try that, was just worried by deleting the app it would affect my desktop program
