When I enter a payment directly on PNC website it does not download to Quicken until AFTER it clears

Hi again @Bill Borg,
Okay, I understand the "lead time" issue. I've gotten used to PNC's lead time and for most bills (utilities, credit cards, etc.) I try to enter as soon as the bill comes in, so that prevents me missing the date. And - as a backup - I can always use the website for last minute payments.
Overall, I expect that you'll like PNC - my only concern is that they also go to EWC+. If/when that happens - I am not going to be a happy camper!

Hi @Bill BBorg,
I am not familiar with how BOA's downloads worked before they dropped direct connect.
However, I am very familiar with PNC and I suggest that you NOT use the bank's website or app to record those payments. It is much easier and more efficient to enter them in your Quicken datafile first (with the payment scheduled for a future date) and in that case, the transactions appear immediately, in your Quicken datafile and bank register, when you enter them. And once they clear the bank the entry will be updated to reflect that via download.
Let me know if you have any followup questions.

Thanks for your reply. I have generally been doing as you suggest for the reasons you state ... that said the lead times for the same biller are 1 day if I enter on the PNC website and 4 days if I enter in Quicken. I think it has to do with the way Fiserv routes the transactions. I must say the arrangement between BofA and Quicken was much better as everything synced ... That said it is no longer an option so I guess I will need to get used to the PNC service.0
