Portfolio history not showing correctly

When I click on the calendar icon in the portfolio of an investment account in the distant past (as in 2018) it does not show the actual stocks owned on that date but is an incorrect list of stocks that I own now. I am trying to add in some transactions that I missed in the past because I didn't download transactions often enough and didn't notice that it would only download transactions for the past 90 days. I was going to go back and manually enter transactions, but if I can't see the actual shares of stocks on a given date I cannot check my entries according to my past statements.

So I found the problem. At some point Quicken automatically added transactions of shares in 1992 so that the amount of shares I own equal to what my brokerage said I owned. All because I didn't download the transactions often enough. When I deleted all of these transactions, the history now shows correctly and I can balance the statements now.1
