Just another user with the same complaint. Quicken R44.28 reports TIAA holdings comparison works properly. The next two releases have failed to fix the problem.1

I had the problem with my Fidelity account not downloading # shares and price for options. R45.21 solved the problem for me. Shares and price are now being downloaded for my options trades.2

As a new Quicken User just ...yesterday, I was able to get my brokerage /401k account for my account working, but only get a cash balance for my wife's (no stock positions). This makes me think I should hold tight to that 30-day guarantee. ....0

Closed quicken, downloaded the patch, tried to install it, but simply get an error message "Could not parse the URL "********\AppData\Local\Temp\IXP000.TMP\current/wyserver.wys" - it's either malformed or is an unknown protocol. Do I have to uninstall quicken to install this patch?0

Hi @Fred M,
You don't need to, and also should not, "uninstall Quicken" to revert to the earlier version -all you need to do is to:
1) Backup your Quicken datafile;
2) Close out of Quicken; then open and download this LINK;
3) Page down and then under Windows (US) - click on October - and the on the "release R44-28" link to start the download:
4) Once the download of has completed - locate it (likely in your Downloads file) the filename is "QW27.1.44.28MPatch";
5) Double click on it to install the download and once completed, restart Quicken.
Let me know if you have any followups and/or tell me how that all went.

When I click to install it, I get the message I quoted above!
"Unable to check for updates. The server failed to load"
When I click on "show details" I get
"Could not parse the URL "Molesworth\AppData\Local\Temp\IXP000.TMP\current/wyserver.wys" - it's either malformed or is an unknown protocol."0 -
Hi @Fred M
That is odd, but not all that unusual. To fix it, please follow the instructions below:
1. Open a DOS command prompt as administrator
2. Create a dummy/temp directory without a space or use an existing one (e.g. C:\temp)
3. Redefine the TEMP path (I have two so I temporarily set both although I assume only one is used by Quicken - didn't bother checking which one but it's temporary anyway and goes away once you close the DOS prompt):
SET TEMP=c:\temp
SET TMP=c:\temp
4. Invoke the QW27.1.44.28MPatch.EXE patch at the same DOS Command prompt (it should complete successfully).
