Why can't I download all transactions?

I lost my previous QIF, so I started from scratch. When I added all my accounts, they defaulted to August 2022 as the earliest transaction date. I made no alterations to the software preferences. How can I get this changed to have all transactions for 2022? This has never happened in all the years I've owned Quicken.

In account settings for each account, on the Downloads tab you can select to have either all transactions downloaded or only transactions after a certain date. By selecting all transactions, you'll get everything the bank is willing to send you, but that might not go all the way back to the beginning of the year.

If that doesn't give you what you want, log into the bank's web site & see if they have an option to download transactions in a Web Connect file - sometimes you can get a larger date range that way. You'd have to change the connection method for the account in order to import the file & then change it back afterwards, or you could just create a new account & delete the old one since you're starting over anyway.

Jon - What you're saying makes sense if it was only one of the several accounts. However, every single account I added only goes back to August 2022. I've changed the option from "download all available" to "Download transactions starting" and input 1/1/2022. I've gone back and forth with a few different accounts this way - to no avail. I've also deleted and re-added the accounts, but nothing is working.

I recognize I could go to each of the individual account websites and try to download them in some readable format - which is what I may have to do. However, that doesn't account for why this is happening for all my accounts.

One other obvious thing to check - make sure your account register is set to view All Dates and not Last 90 Days (which would be mid-August).

What connection method are you using for your accounts - Direct Connect or Quicken Connect?

My on-line (Quicken Web) also only captures August 2022 for all accounts.
Method for accounts? Not sure what this means.
I use the Quicken for MAC app and I sometimes view my information on-line and via my mobile app.

All accounts online or on the app now state "Earliest transaction date 8/20/2022

The reason is most banks only download 90 days.  That's common.

I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.

Thanks for the comment. Unfortunately, this is not the reason as all my accounts are showing this same beginning transaction date.

I meant what method Quicken is using to get information from your bank, there's more than one. If you're using Quicken Web & the mobile app then that answers my question - everything is going to be Quicken Connect.

Gotcha. I use three methods for accessing Quicken. Mobile, Desktop, web. Unfortunately, that doesn’t solve my problem. I’ll contact Quicken Support on Monday. I appreciate your assistance, Jon!!
