Does QMac auto install updates like QWin

Just wondering if QMac auto installs new versions like what happens over on the Windows side ?  
If so - Does MacOs have anything to prevent these program initiated downloads & installs ?

    No it does not. You get a popup in the app for new versions. You can dismiss it (twice) to prevent the install.
