Recently reinstalled quicken, home inventory has all data but cannot open detail view to edit, add

all works but when you click on an existing record the screen opens faintly in the background and then returns to the list view, cannot enter a new record or edit an existing record.

    I had that problem once after updating my Quicken software.  What fixed it for me was to close Quicken, reboot my PC and the launch Quicken, again.  Maybe that will work for you, too.
