Payee incorrectly downloaded to Quicken as Dunkin Donuts from Bank of America

Downloaded transactions from Bank of America to Quicken (most recent version) and between 8/29/22 and 12/29/22, 71 transactions downloaded incorrectly with Dunkin Donuts as payee. Why? The Bank of America statements were correct.

Go to Tools > Renaming Rules and check if there is a rule for Dunkin Donuts. If for example it is something like Payee contains D, then any transaction with a D in it will be renamed to Dunkin Donuts.
If it is not something like that, please post back for more troubleshooting ideas.QWin Premier subscription0 -
There is no rule for Dunkin Donuts at all0

OK, sometimes Quicken's built-in renaming is broken. Do the improperly renamed transactions have anything in common? Are they all for one Payee for example?
Also do you allow Quicken to put transactions in your register without you reviewing them? If so you can turn this off until it is straightened out.QWin Premier subscription0 -
No the payees have nothing in common. Except many, not all, are related to food, but there is grocery store, a couple markets, a deli, fast food places like Burger King; but there are also 2 hardware stores and other non-food businesses. if it happens at next download i will try turning off. but i don't know who to let know it is broken, at least for me! Thank you for your suggestions.0

Another thing you can do to help sort this out is to display the Downloaded Payee column in the account's register. Click on the gear at the top right of the register and select Register columns, then check the box next to Downloaded Payee. This will add a column to the account's register showing the original Payee before any renaming.QWin Premier subscription-1

Do you have the preference Automatically Apply Quicken’s Suggested Name To Payee enabled? If so, uncheck the preference. In QW2017, the preference is Downloaded Transactions section.
