I archived one file through 12/21/2021. The archive file is ok, but the current file has all old in

current file has all of the old info still in it. I thought it would clean out the archived data.

I am having a similar experience. I followed the procedure outlined in the link posted by splasher correctly. But the "current" data file has not removed transactions from the prior years. The file sizes of the archived and current files are virtually the same.

If you followed the instructions completely and ALL of the accounts are reconciled properly it should have worked, it has always worked for me when I have tested the process.
But I would never do it to my real data file, I value my data history to all be in a single file.
