Update to Direct Connect - free CheckPay for how long?

When Quicken changed the system to use Direct Connect, I was told Quicken would give me some amount of time with free CheckPay (for up to 5 checks/month). I thought it was a year - does anyone know how long the free Check-Pay period was supposed to be?

CheckPay is a feature depending on which Edition that you purchase and is valid as long as (or until they drop the feature completely) you have an active subscription to that Edition.
See this link for those features vs Edition of Quicken: https://www.quicken.com/product-selector/reverse-nst

For Quicken Deluxe, that site says “Additional fee, starting at $9.95 per month.” I was trying to recall how long following the Direct-connect “upgrade” we were supposed to get that service for free.

The “free” is for Premier and above for the limited number of payments. Deluxe pays the monthly fee if you wish to use it. It is more economical to purchase Premier than Deluxe + the monthly bill pay fee.
