MTD Budget to Spending by category (Q Mac)

How do I (can I) track throughout a month spending vs. budget (MTD) without downloading or entering into a separate manual excel spreadsheet? Expense vs. Income does little good if the bulk of income is set earlier in the month. I want to compare spending to MTD budget, not the whole monthly budget.
